Healthcare professionals are being challenged to look beyond the traditional boundaries of clinical practice as the H-LEMP Initiative launches its new RUN Campaign, an initiative designed to equip healthcare professionals with the leadership, entrepreneurial and financial knowledge required to build impactful careers and create sustainable wealth.
Built around the message, “Your Career Can Be More Than Your Profession,” the RUN Campaign encourages healthcare professionals to consider a broader question: Are you prepared to lead, build and create wealth, not just provide care?
The campaign is built around three key pillars, R — Rise into Leadership, “Healthcare professionals are encouraged to develop the leadership skills required to influence healthcare systems, organisations and communities.”
U — Unlock Entrepreneurship, “The campaign promotes entrepreneurship as a pathway for healthcare professionals to transform ideas into sustainable businesses, solutions and ventures that address real challenges within the healthcare ecosystem.”
N — Navigate Financial Literacy and Wealth Creation, “Healthcare professionals will be encouraged to develop stronger financial intelligence, understand wealth creation and make informed decisions about their financial future.”
The RUN Campaign forms part of the broader H-LEMP Initiative and will be amplified through the H-LEMP Africa Conference 2026, scheduled to hold on October 28 and 29 at the Civic Centre, Lagos.
The event will bring together healthcare professionals, entrepreneurs, executives, innovators and industry leaders to explore the future of healthcare leadership, entrepreneurship and management across Africa.
Through the initiative, H-LEMP seeks to promote a new generation of healthcare professionals who are not only excellent clinicians but also capable leaders, innovative entrepreneurs and financially empowered individuals.
“Healthcare professionals have always been at the heart of healthcare delivery. But the future requires us to go further to lead systems, build solutions, create businesses and make smarter financial decisions,” the campaign message emphasises.
The RUN Campaign is therefore more than a professional development initiative. It is a call for healthcare professionals to redefine what is possible beyond their traditional professional roles.
Don’t just be part of healthcare. Be part of transforming it. It’s time to RUN.
